Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Job Description

At EA, we believe games are powerful because they bring together multiple ways people engage: play, watch, create, and connect. And increasingly, the biggest entertainment platforms aren’t just places to consume content — they’re places where communities build.

Creator-made content is already a proven part of EA’s history — from community creation tools in Battlefield to The Gallery in The Sims 4. We believe new creative technologies and tools will expand how players engage with and contribute to our experiences, supported by thoughtful product design, safety systems, and global reach. Our focus is on enabling more players to participate in creative expression by making creation easier, safer, and more rewarding.

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff & Head of Strategic Partnerships to operate as the senior leader’s right hand and to own the partnerships that are critical to product delivery and global scale.

In this role, you will be the primary interface between the company and one or more strategic external partners, ensuring relationship health, tight alignment, and reliable execution. You will act as a cultural and operating bridge across organizations—translating goals, ways of working, and decision-making norms so teams move fast without losing clarity or trust.

You will run executive operating cadence, drive cross-functional problem solving, and lead partnership strategy and execution from opportunity assessment through governance and ongoing operations. This is a high-impact role for a builder who can combine judgment, structured thinking, and strong executive communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Chief of Staff to a senior leader: run executive cadence, manage priorities, and drive alignment and follow-through across product, engineering, publishing/operations, growth, finance, legal, and trust & safety.

  • Serve as the primary interface for key strategic external partners: own relationship health, executive alignment, and day-to-day operating effectiveness.

  • Act as a cultural and operational bridge across organizations—translate goals, decision-making norms, and ways of working to maintain speed and trust.

  • Establish joint operating rhythms with partners: forums, agendas, milestone reviews, decision logs, escalation paths, and issue-resolution mechanisms.

  • Define partnership strategy: identify where to partner vs. build, map priority partner categories and identify key potential partners.

  • Drive deal execution in partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal/Finance/Corp Dev): support structuring, negotiation, diligence coordination, and term-to-operating-plan translation (roles, rights, data, SLAs).

  • Own market and competitive context for Asia: track platform policy shifts, creator ecosystem trends, and competitor moves; translate insights into implications for roadmap, launch sequencing, and partnership priorities.

  • Surface risks early (delivery, dependency, compliance, safety, reputational): drive mitigations and ensure clear decision-making and accountability.

  • Produce crisp executive communications: weekly readouts, pre-reads, and leadership-ready narratives connecting progress, risks, and decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Chief of Staff, partnerships/BD, corp strategy/ops, or GM-track roles in consumer platforms (UGC/games/social/media/marketplaces).

  • Ability to communicate fluently and collaboratively across Mandarin and English speaking teams; Experience working across multi-cultural and multi-national environments.

  • High judgment and ownership in ambiguous environments; ability to manage sensitive partner relationships and escalate decisively.

  • Demonstrated success structuring and operating strategic partnerships: governance design, negotiation support, and translating terms into executable plans.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Trust & Safety.

  • Excellent executive communication: concise writing, strong synthesis, and comfort driving decision-making through clear narratives and data.
