Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Our Battlefield franchise is evolving its live service and long-term operations, and we're looking for an experienced Quality Verification Product Manager to help ensure our players receive a quality experience. You will sit at the intersection of development, live operations, and player quality, and will be a critical partner across multiple teams throughout the product lifecycle.

You will bring quality strategy, orchestrate cross-team collaboration, and serve as the primary QV representative for both live issues and in-development features for Battlefield 6. You will report directly to Director of Software Delivery, Battlefield,QV

We are a hybrid remote/in-office team.

Main Responsibilities

Live Service Quality & Game Operations

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and tracking of live service issues. Ensure rapid response and experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners across Game Ops, Development, Engineering, and Production.
  • Partner with Game Operations and Live Service managers to anticipate risks, establish quality guardrails, and ensure smooth daily live operations.
  • Validate and monitor real-time game health metrics, error logs, crash data, and service telemetry to quickly detect latest quality trends.
  • Use data to assess each release's progress and its approval

Development Support & Pre-Release Quality

  • Be QV's representative for asset features in Release leading up to submission and going live —providing quality insights, embedded testing strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Standardize, improve workflows and planning across the Franchise to lead predictability.
  • Ensure test strategies, coverage, and feature validation align with the scale and complexity of a Battlefield live service title.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Design, Insights, Customer Support, and Game Ops to agree on priorities, communicate risks, and ensure shared quality outcomes.
  • Lead discussions around live-site incidents, patch readiness, release quality, and long-term service reliability.
  • Advocate for player experience and ensure quality considerations are integrated across the entire development and live-service pipeline.

Quality Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and refine QV practices for live service, including incident management workflows, feature-level test strategies, and long-term quality planning.
  • Mentor and influence QV peers and partner teams through expertise, documentation, and structured feedback.
  • Contribute to studio-wide or franchise-wide plans that improve quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 5–10 years of experience in Quality Verification, Game Operations, or Live Service roles within AAA or large-scale multiplayer products.
  • Experience with live service ecosystems, including release management, incident response, service monitoring, and long-term content pipelines.
  • Experience operating at a senior level—equivalent to Development Director scope.
  • 5+ years of experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners, understanding and clarity across multiple disciplines and leadership layers.
  • Expertise in test planning, risk analysis, service troubleshooting, and defect management.
  • Succeed in high-pressure, fast-evolving environments where rapid decision-making is necessary .
  • Experience working on large-scale online or multiplayer games (experience with Frostbite or Battlefield bonus).

Relevant

  • Experience with service telemetry dashboards, live data tools, or crash/telemetry pipelines.
  • Background in coordinating global teams or working with distributed partners.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and live-service content operations.
  • Experience using data and insights to inform product development and comfort working with quantitative quality data.

What This Role Isn't

  • This is not a people-manager role.
  • It is not focused on completing routine testing tasks.
  • Instead, it is a senior leadership-level IC position centered on quality strategy, cross-team orchestration, and ensuring Battlefield delivers an excellent live service experience.
