Software Engineer II - AI Engineer

Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure that are used to ship, scale, and operate secure, reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide

Software Engineer II will report to the Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and integrate AI-powered tools, applications, and automation solutions to improve engineering efficiency and developer productivity.

  • You will develop Generative AI and AI Agent solutions. These solutions include Large Language Model (LLM) applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and agent-based systems. Additionally, we develop autonomous workflow solutions.

  • You will develop and support scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications running on modern cloud platforms.

  • You will Monitor, and troubleshoot application logs, test results, and operational metrics to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with teams to design, test, and deliver platform capabilities, AI services, and product features.

  • Evaluate latest Generative AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and improve adoption of relevant innovations.

  • Follow software engineering best practices, security standards, data governance policies, and organisational compliance requirements.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, including building and operating production-grade applications.

  • Programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience developing scalable and maintainable software solutions.

  • Experience working with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, MCP servers, Vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks is a must, working  with workflow automation platforms such as n8n is a plus.

  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

  • You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and modern software delivery practices.
