Video Editor 

We entertain millions of people across the globe with the most amazing and immersive interactive software in the industry. But making games is challenging. That's why we employ the most creative, passionate people in the industry.

What a Video Editor does at EA:

As a Video Editor, you will report to the Lead Video Editor and work with a creative team of artists to ensure our marketing content is delivered at the highest quality and competed on an world class level. You will help build trailers and video content to achieve the final creative vision set forward by your Video Art Director or Creative Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit video content for several platforms, such as social media, websites, and television
  • Collaborate with creative teams, including writers, producers, and creatives, to develop video concepts and implement them
  • Incorporate feedback from Producers and Creatives and make necessary revisions to ensure the final product meets their expectations
  • Ensure the video content aligns with brand guidelines and visual standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience, ideally in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and solid knowledge of Creative Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of computers and video post technology, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Storytelling editing skills.
  • Motion graphic skill with a strong understanding and implementation of animation principles.
  • Experience cutting picture, sound and music within a commercial environment.
  • Deep passion and insight into the latest trends, techniques, and social networks.
  • Solution focused with the ability to dive technically deep while still focused on deadlines.
  • Sets clear priorities to complete work tasks, allocating resources efficiently

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$75,900 - $105,600 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
 In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
